Features of Dragonfly Hill The large and elegant home is suitable for your family reunion, group getaway or yoga retreat. Situated on 10 parklike acres, Dragonfly Hill offers the opportunity for peaceful reflection and interaction with nature. It is the perfect place to get away from the stresses of the city and reconnect with the things most important in our lives. Wildlife sightings are frequent. In fact we encourage visitors to drive slowly, to avoid frightening or injuring the many deer that live on and near the property. During your visit, keep an eye out for raccoons, wild rabbits and native red squirrels. Woodpeckers are frequent visitors, as are hummingbirds, quail and many other species. In fact, Dragonfly Hill and the surrounding area is a birdwatcher’s delight! What to Bring: If you plan on walking to the beach or enjoying many of the nearby trails, bring sturdy walking shoes. Because we’re in the rain shadow between the British Columbia mainland and Vancouver Island, weather can change rapidly. Be sure to bring clothing suitable for every possibility the season might deliver. Our kitchen is more than fully equipped. If you planning on doing some cooking, you won’t be disappointed. In addition to basics like a dishwasher, microwave and coffeemaker, visitors are welcome to use our breadmaker, food processor, convection oven and other gadgets, as well as dishes and cutlery sufficient to serve a very large group. If you plan on BBQing during your visit, you will enjoy our new stainless steel propane grill. You’re welcome to bring your computer and other connected devices, there is high speed broadband (WIFI) on the property. And make sure you bring a camera. You’re going to want to take lots of pictures!
